Ku Chuan "The Photographer"
Welcome to my site!
Yes, I'm the photographer! Mad scientist, classical music lover, all-around good guy (I hope!).
How did I get into birding and bird photography? Since our land abuts a wildlife refuge in the forests of New England, we get a large number of birds flying through that vary according to the season. One day a thought came to me: photos of these birds would be helpful for my artist wife's sketches and paintings! Since she had no time to fuss around with the camera, I randomly began taking photos of birds with the DSLR we had originally purchased for photographing her paintings.
As time progressed, I developed methods for photographing the birds in-flight so that the lovely fluid detail in the design of the wings could be seen in the resulting photographs. Some close up shots even capture the different expression of the birds "faces", appearing as if each bird has its own personality. I love my new hobby to the point that it is difficult for me to put down the camera regardless of the weather conditions!
